Desperate for fuel, Megatron attacks a coal mining plant and becomes rooted to the spot!

Wheeljack pinpoints the incapacitated Megatron's location and a group of Autobots led by Optimus Prime set off to capture him. But the Decepticons are also on the trail - Ravage carrying the disguised Soundwave for a rendezvous with Laserbeak and Buzzsaw.

Hours later Walter Barnett and Donny Finkleberg (in Robot Master threads) arrive at the coal mine and marvel at the sight of the paralysed Megatron. They join an assembled broadcast crew to film Robot Master's latest revelations. Blackrock arrives and is asked by Barnett to retract his statement condemning Robot Master story. Blackrock cannot believe what he is hearing, he should have said more after Robot Master publicly branded both the Autobots and Decepticons as a threat, and he also wonders how long the Decepticons will put up with this clown claiming to rule them. Donny's cigarettes certainly wont be the only thing hazardous to his health! A commotion reveals the Autobots arriving on the scene only to be attacked by the US military! Prime orders his men not to return fire and Blackrock tries to get the attack called off. Barnett is sure that they are here to rescue their comrade, even though they are not returning fire. The Decepticons arrive in the distraction and Soundwave quickly refuels Megatron - who recovers in no time. Megatron rampages against the army, with the Autobots too weakened to intervene, and Laserbeak retrieves Donny Finkleberg for his master.

Megatron will terminate this human who claims to control him and dared strike a match against his leg! But Donny's quick talking gives him a life line, as he insists his dark propaganda can be used to further the Decepticon cause. At this point Megatron should have blasted him into oblivion but amazingly he agrees to the idea! A second broadcast is far more menacing with Robot Master backed up Megatron's raw power (crushing huge boulders for effect). Afterwards Donny's predicament is clear: never presume his value to the Decepticons! If he does then smoking will definitely not be the only thing hazardous to his health!

Nice little warning to the kids there that smoking is not cool - as Donny's habit gets him in trouble with Megatron! I can't believe that the propaganda value of Robot Master is that great, simply because the guy looks so ridiculous. Also when you think about it, if someone popped-up on every TV channel with such a claim they would be guaranteed instant infamy. Every reporter in the US and more besides would be trying to find out everything about him, and it wouldn't take long for someone to say "oh that's Donny Finkleberg who writes the Robot Master comic". Comic book writers don't graduate to heads of terrorist empires with an army of robots overnight, so it wouldn't take long for people to put two and two together and realise this is a fraud. Shockwave won't learn of Megatron's return for another nine issues, which is strange since Megs has just appeared on every TV channel.
